My new Bug. Checked this out for two months and discovered nothing. Just cosmetic work to do. Inside and out. I guess not bad for 33 years old. It's hard to decide what to do first. However, the uphostery is in great shape along with the door panels. Even new tires. All for $800. And did I mention there is NO rust anywhere. Ah the desert environment in Ca. is great on old cars. The previous owner has apparently done some work as all the window rubber is fairly new as well. I've stripped out the headliner as it was rotted and started hammering the dents. This is relaxing. Oh I've also made a new gasket for the gas cap. You can imagine the fumes from having no gasket. I've started driving it several days a week. I've also been reminded (by locking brakes) how important proper pressure in the tires. Too hard = no stop. Correct = stops great.
